Showing: All Day Until March 4

With Reviews from "richly engaging" to "universal" I can definitely say this is one show I don't want to miss. Written and directed by Danai Guriria; it's got black girl magic written all over it. Set in the winter at a Midwestern family home, the bride to be and her family clash over old tradition. Expertly acted and funny to boot, give this one a go soon because tickets are hot! $20-49

Suggestion: If you are holding out for Lady Luck.

Boogie down! Boogie down!

Get into the origins of funk and soul boys and girls!

Take a group of folks who won’t want to miss this live Bounce at one of the livest spots in the city. Guaranteed to be standing room only! Join in with the chorus with a whole lot of shakin’ and if you're like me, a whole happy hour just before!  It’ll be worth it! $45-50

Suggestion: If you just wanna dance.

Dance is a magically beautiful art form and burlesque takes it to a whole other level. Catch a show, catch a shoe, catch a wig. Take your dollar bills and put them where they really belong (18 & over folks). Celebrate the “rockstar 90s” women who rock and still rock our worlds today. 50% of proceeds donated to the Rape Abuse and Incest National Network. Spend all you can! Tickets are $15-25

Suggestion: For a good cause.

Old as it may seem, the history of this nation can't be reckoned with enough. Nearly a classic in its own right, this 2005 piece is a reflection of American Civil War and the African Americans who died fighting in vain. As eerily transparent as it is shadowy and detailed, the exhibit is made to inspire social and political consciousness. FREE

Suggestion: For the history buff.

Get your fill of chocolate and find something for the quirky kid in all of us. A one-stop gift box full of toys, trinkets, and treats. This shop is small and busy so I would NOT recommend last minute shopping. They also have a limited online catalog, so you can't beat going in person! $5-70

Suggestion: For a little bit of what you’ve been missing!

That's it for this weekend lovers, thank you for reading!
